HbA1c is haemoglobin attached with glucose molecule. The measurement of HbA1c level reflects the mean glucose level. Unlike the glucose test which sometimes require more than 10 testings per day in order to know what is happening, HbA1c test requires only one test, and reflects the mean glucose level over the past 120 days. Therefore, it is useful for doctors to know how well their diabetic patient manages their blood sugar levels over the past 120 days.
